Emla Numbing Cream 5% is a topical anaesthetic used to numb the surface of the skin before minor procedures like blood tests, injections, or skin treatments. It contains lidocaine and prilocaine, two local anaesthetics that work together to block pain signals temporarily.

This 5g tube is ideal for individual treatments or for keeping in a first aid kit for occasional use. While dressings are not included in this version, it can still be applied under plastic film if required by your healthcare provider.

Emla helps reduce discomfort during minor skin procedures and can also be used under medical supervision for genital or leg ulcer applications.

Warnings and cautions

• Do not use on broken, irritated, or rash-covered skin.
• Do not apply near eyes, ears, mouth, or on genitals of children under 12.
• Avoid use in infants under 12 months taking other methaemoglobinaemia-linked medications.
• Speak to a doctor if you have G6PD deficiency or methaemoglobinaemia.
• For external use only. Do not ingest or apply inside the body.

How to use

1. Apply a thick layer of cream to the area that needs numbing.
2. Leave the cream on for at least 60 minutes before the procedure.
