Nurofen Pain Relief 256mg Caplets contain Ibuprofen in its sodium salt form, clinically proven to absorb faster than standard ibuprofen acid tablets, with peak plasma concentration reached in approximately 35 minutes on an empty stomach and meaningful pain relief demonstrated in studies within 15 minutes of taking two caplets. As an NSAID, Ibuprofen works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, the substances responsible for triggering pain and inflammation, providing both analgesic and anti-inflammatory relief.

Each easy-to-swallow oval caplet contains the equivalent of 200mg of Ibuprofen and can be taken up to three times a day for short-term relief of headaches, migraines, dental pain, period pain, back pain, muscular and rheumatic pain, cold and flu symptoms and fever. Warnings and cautions

• Always read the enclosed patient information leaflet before use. Do not exceed the stated dose. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your pharmacist or doctor.
• Do not take if you are allergic to Ibuprofen, Aspirin or other NSAIDs, or if you have or have had a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding.
• Do not take with other NSAID painkillers or with Aspirin at a daily dose above 75mg. Seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking any other medicines.
• Contains Sucrose and Sodium. Not suitable for those on a controlled sodium diet or with an intolerance to some sugars without prior medical advice. Do not use during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Keep out of reach of children.
• Medicines such as Ibuprofen may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke, particularly at high doses or with prolonged use. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.

How to use

1. For oral administration and short term use only.
2. Adults, the elderly and children and adolescents between 12 and 18 years: Swallow 1 or 2 caplets with water up to three times a day as required
3. Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
4. Do not take more than 6 caplets in any 24 hour period.
5. Do not give to children under 12 years of age
6. Children and adolescents between 12 and 18 years: If the product is required for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen a doctor should be consulted.
7. Adults: If the product is required for more than 10 days, or if symptoms worsen a doctor should be consulted.
