Otrivine Allergy Relief 0.1% Nasal Spray offers fast, long-lasting relief from nasal congestion caused by colds, allergies, or sinusitis.

This fast-acting nasal spray contains xylometazoline hydrochloride, a decongestant that works by shrinking swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages to relieve congestion. Otrivine gets to work in just 2 minutes and continues to provide relief for up to 10 hours.

It is suitable for adults and children over 12 years and is particularly effective for those experiencing symptoms of hay fever, perennial rhinitis, or sinusitis. With regular use, it helps to open and clear nasal passages while reducing excessive nasal secretions.

Warnings and cautions

• Only use this medicine for a short time and to help with your symptom. Do not use for more than 5 consecutive days.
• Always follow the instructions on the packaging and Patient Information Leaflet which comes with the medicine, do not exceed the daily recommended dose and take note of the minimum time interval between doses.
• Do not use alongside other oral and nasal forms of medicines used to treat a blocked nose, such as pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine or ephedrine
• Using this medicine for longer than the recommended duration can make your symptoms worse, your nose may become blocked again, and you may get other problems such as runny nose, sneezing, itching and irritation or your body can stop responding to the medicine.
• Contact your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 5 days, if you have been using for longer than recommended or if you experience ongoing congestion, irritation, sneezing, or a runny nose.
• If you experience any side effects, speak to a healthcare professional and report them via the Yellow Card scheme.

How to use

1. Before first use, prime the spray by pressing 4 times
2. Administer one spray in each nostril up to 3 times a day
3. Do not exceed 3 applications daily
4. Re-prime if spray hasn't been used for more than 7 days
